True Stuff!

Liberty Rosabelle

Here is the newest bundle of joy(well 2 months ago). Liberty Rosabelle is a very good baby and she is so warm and cuddly. She rarely fusses and she just started smiling and cooing! She is spoiled by her big brother and sister with a trillion kisses a day! That's a good thing though! I can't wait to watch her grow up and be a bright little girl. I feel blessed to have these beautiful babies as my nieces and nephew. And yes, by the look on her face, she was tired of getting her picture taken! I love you Liberty!

Skyleigh Claire

Skyleigh Claire is the loud one!!! You can hear her miles away and you are like, "that's Skyleigh Claire" She is very smart and beautiful and ENERGETIC and can make you smile and laugh when you are having a bad day. She brings a smile to my face every time I see her(well, and her brother and sister as well). Just do me a favor and don't take her to the bathroom because I can guarantee you that she will EMBARRASS you! I love you so much Skyleigh! :) (:

Nolan Ryan

Nolan Ryan is a very special little boy. He just turned 6 and is such a bright and intelligent boy. He has 2 little sisters to tease and bug and annoy but that is how he shows his love and care for them. He is quiet but can be loud at times, he is big into superheroes and guns, just the normal boy stuff. I feel so blessed to have him for my nephew. I love you so much Nolan!!

My Beautiful Nieces and Nephew

Okay, enough with the teaching stuff for a few minutes. I would like to share with you all my beautiful nieces and nephew(Nolan, who just turned 6, Skyleigh who is 4 and the newest little one, Liberty who is 2 months already!!!) This is an older picture but I will put up some recent ones. Are they adorable or what?! :)

Technology Video

This is a video I watched for class, I didn't know how much technology has increased over the years and how much it is hurting families. Keep in mind that this video is a few years old.

I invite you to watch if you want!

Blessings to everyone!

Technology????

Oh, the technology these days!

I don't use that much techno stuff, simply because I just don't have the time for it! But the piece of technology that I use the most is my laptop. Going to college full time requires a lot of homework......:( writing papers, researching, etc. It almost feels like I am on it 24/7 but truly I'm not it just feels like it because I have so much homework to get done and on time! I don't even use my cell phone that much, I am just not that great with techno stuff! However, I have been trying to learn more about smart boards since I will most likely be working with one of those when I become a teacher. I prefer chalk and a chalkboard because I think they are so much fun, but I guess the smart board is fun too and it's really not that bad, its easy to learn but takes some practice to getting used to it and learning how to work it.

Technology has changed both my personal and educational life because I hardly ever used the computer before college and having no experience with computers whatsoever, I really had to get used to using one. I'm still not very good with computers but better than I was before college! :) The smart board is going to be my biggest challenge! Just to let everyone know, I even had trouble writing this post! :(

Well, that's all for now!

Until next time...Blessings to you all and Happy Teaching! :)

Who inspired me to become a teacher?

I bet some of you are wondering who inspired me to become a teacher.....

well, this lovely lady..........

is my sister-in-law, Sara is her name. She is truly the person who inspired me to become a teacher! I
have always wanted to be a teacher. Well, I shouldn't say "always" because I changed my mind over the years until my BIG brother met Miss Sara. I have known her for about five years now and she is such a marvelous person to be around. She was going through college to be a teacher when I first met her and just watching her and learning everything there is about teaching truly inspired me. She has only been teaching Kindergarten for two years but she looks like she has been teaching for ten! She is surely a pro! I have been watching and learning from her all about being a teacher and the process it takes to become a teacher, and I think that helped me to realize that being a teacher is what I want to do with my life.

I really like how she teaches and someday I would love to teach the way that she teaches. She is surely my role model when it comes to teaching! I have been asking her so many questions about teaching that I sure hope she doesn't get annoyed with me! But knowing Sara, she is glad to help me in any way that she can! I feel so blessed to have her in my life and as my sister-in-law and my BIG brother couldn't have picked a more wonderful and lovely lady! So Miss Sara, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, helping me realize that being a teacher is what I want to do with my life! I Love You!

And I didn't forget....the cute guy sitting next to her just so happens to be my BIG brother, Jared is his name. Thank you for picking such a wonderful and lovely lady! Love you too!

So now you know a little bit about why I want to be a teacher and who inspired me!

Stay tuned friends! Lots more to come! :)

Why do I want to be a Teacher?

Well, I should probably tell you why I want to be a teacher.......

I chose to become a teacher because I want to help children learn and grow with their school skills in a way that will help them when they get older and go into the next grade knowing the skills I have taught them. I can't tell you how much I love children and being around them, they are so much fun to be around and they crack me up! I want to spend all of my time with them to help them learn. I want them to be able to go home really excited and say “Mom guess what I learned today!”. And hopefully they can’t wait to go to school the next day and learn the next lesson and go home that day telling their family all about what they learned that day. I am sure that being a teacher can be extremely tiring and I know that it takes a lot of time, energy, courage, strength, wisdom, effort, and just about anything to be a teacher but if that is what it takes then I am willing to do just that so that I can help children.

Children all have different abilities that cause them to each learn in a different way that makes them more unique. They all have the abilities to create, discover, and learn in a way that I could never have created, given them, or imagined. They generate their own ability that gives them the opportunity to discover and learn.

The Lord was telling me that this is the career for me and I am willing to listen to Him and put my trust in Him!

P.S. So that is why I chose to become a teacher! :)
